We really liked working on this project! From its inception the client was wonderful to work with especially considering the scale of the project. We were given minimal design constraints; an open floor plan, some curves, and 62’x44′. Miles did his design magic, in frequent communication with the architect and engineer. Due to the huge span we were unable to locally source all of the timbers for the frame, which is our preference, but we think it turned out well. We ended up using Oregonian Douglas Fir for the frame and native Vermont White Pine for the rafters and dormers.
